This is my mom's recipe for a Japanese-inspired mushroom appetizer with a delectable miso, mirin and soy mayonnaise sauce. I haven't made it yet so will post the ingredient proportions later. Mom, like most moms and grandmas, uses a pinch of this or a dash of that, with no exact measurements, lol! Here's her ingredient list:
King Oyster Mushrooms, sliced & lightly sautéed until just done
Mayonnaise (Kewpie?)
Miso
Mirin
Soy (just a tad)
Wasabi (optional)
Finely minced scallion for garnish
